NINJA is finally ready!
I had to submit it to Newgrounds as "NINJA Brawl", because like my other game "Hobo", the name was already taken (surprise, surprise).

Because you can only upload 2 audio tracks per day, not all the tracks in the game are listed yet, but I'll update things as I get to upload the rest of the soundtrack to NG. I hope you guys enjoy my tribute to Crastle Crashers...

How did I rip off Castle Crashing the Beard with Hobo Brawl? There are no similarities. Hobo Brawl is a lot more like Dad 'n Me. And I don't think a hobo puking and farting on people is a stolen idea, I don't know of any game where you can do that except mine.

I see you make 3D Robots. Do you really think nobody has done that before? Transformers! How would you feel if I told you that you should stop stealing ideas from transformers and that you're not original at all?

That's true, I did get that from playing Castle Crashing the Beard. I totally forgot about that. I wouldn't call that totally ripping off the game though. I think they are both very different games altogether. The reason why I chose to make the hobo unlock combos like that was to make it kind of ridiculous that he would get this white light from the sky giving him the power to fart or something. It was an attempt at humor. It was a purposeful rip-off, if you have any idea what I mean... so yeah, I do not deny that I ripped-off the leveling-up animation from CC the Beard. I did it, and it has a purpose, I think anybody who has played both games would realise that.

Why shouldn't I mention the transformers thing? I think I made a vaild point with that one...

oh, and it's not hobo wars :)

This game have at some points that makes it looks like CastleCrashers.
The first stage of NINJA brawl looks kinda like the village from the first stage at CC
The forest is similar to forest in CC.
Also, some of the food in NINJA Brawl exist in CC

But i think its great! If a game like CastleCrasher is totaly awesome, wouldnt this game rock as well?
You can chose from alot of characters (when you have unlocked them^^)
There are combos and items to creat some mayhem and you level up and upgrade your stats.

So i say, this game rocks!

Glad you like the art and animation. I worked real hard on this game, and this is my tribute to Castle Crashers, so that's why it's like CC.

I seriously don't think that I stole anything or that it's a crime... All the art and music and programming is my own. This game is also free to play for everyone, so I'm pretty sure I didn't do anything wrong.

And I totally disagree with 3D-xelu. I played Hobo Brawl and replayed it and there is pretty not much resemblance to CC: The beard besides maybe the fact that its a brawler but even at that, there's no rip off.

Even though this game has some resemblances to Castle Crashers, you already mentionned it was a tribute. Besides you have original characters, an original game and alot of orginal stuff so its not a rip off.

I think 3D-Xelu might not have been aware that this new NINJA game of mine was a tribute and that it was supposed to be like CC, so he got pissed off... and maybe he doesn't know of all the other old-school games that are similar to Castle Crashers which makes it NOT a genre in its own.

oh ...one thing you shold fix, we are able to easilyput an enemy in the air and slash hin till the dead when near a hall or something, you should add a air slass limitatiojn...if not, we are able to fly >_>

There's a general save where it saves your guality and difficulty settings as well as which characters you have unlocked, and then each character has another individual save that saves their stats, experience, items and game progress.

I did not rip off every aspect of the original. Even if I did, it's a free game and you don't need to play it if you don't want to.

A few people have said this game reminds them of Golden Axe. Long before Castle Crashers there were many games like it. CC is definitely not the first of its kind...

You know those powerup attacks when you hold the attack button?
I reckon that would be an awesome addiction to the game and perhaps even a time limit or something that you could unlock at the end of the game.

On topic, NINJA GAME FTW! The rediculous amount of secret characters just seems useless though. Is there even a stat system that they follow?

The unlockable characters are more like different "looks" and they are also there so that you can start a new character without having to clear the saved data from another character. They all have their own yet similar stat systems and they all start at level 1.

Sorry man, my website is empty for now. I just placed a link to my site in my game for future reference when I actually do something about it... I've been so busy lately (and I'm still busy with other stuff) that I haven't had the chance to make a website for myself yet... I'll make a front page post one day when my site is ready :)

NINJA Brawl was more meant to be a stand-alone tribute to Castle Crashers so don't expect a sequel. I might make a sequel for Hobo Brawl, so if you haven't played it yet, check it out :)

like I already said... i support you man! loved the game, loved the graphics and it beats the hell out of paying 1200 microsoft points for castle crashers. I also like the fact that you take the time to comment people's reviews you should devote some time to remaking great games on NG, but even if you can't you still have my support so 10/10 on NINJA and10/10 on your Ideas coming up in the future.
