EnterTheFleshAgain: Fauna and Flora #20

Posted by SeethingSwarm - January 4th, 2015

The Sting plant’s flower is a favourite food source for Jellyfish. They help to pollinate these flowers and spread their seed. Like most flowers in this game, the Sting plant has three main stages. It can have a flower which needs to be pollinated in order to become an unripe fruit, then eventually a ripe fruit. Once the fruit is eaten, destroyed or becomes rotten, the plant reverts back to its flower state. The Sting plant’s fruit is delicious and most creatures gain a tiny bit of health from it and their hunger is reduced by a fair amount, depending on whether they’re eating the unripe fruit or the ripe fruit.

Whenever a creature other than a jellyfish attempts to feed on the Sting plant’s flower, it discharges an acidic substance that burns, stings and damages the target creature. The Jellyfish and the Sting plant has a strong symbiotic relationship.

The world you're creating becomes more and more complex and complete. Can't wait to see the result !

Thanks! I'm glad you're looking forward to it :) There's still much to do, but the game is coming along quite well and the game world is coming alive.
