EnterTheFleshAgain: Fauna and Flora #30

Posted by SeethingSwarm - June 17th, 2015

Black Swarms are small wasp-like creatures that live in colonies and build nests. They travel around in big groups and are extremely aggressive. Black Swarms will attack any creature that crosses their paths. These hives are another form of life in my upcoming game "Enter The Flesh Again".

A swarm? This is interesting.
Will these be playable? If so, would you have control over the hole swarm?

Also seething swarm, lol

Can't wait to know more about the game, it's looking pretty good so far.

These swarms will not be playable, sorry. Even though they are living creatures, gameplay-wise they are seen more as a part of the plant life in the game. I probably should have mentioned that since every creature I've revealed so far is playable.

I first made these swarms in an older game of mine called Evil Forest, and I thought they might fit well in this game-world as well, so I made a few adjustments to how they look and work. In Evil Forest they were called Seething Swarms, hehe :P

I'm glad you're interested in this game so far, there is still much to be revealed and much to do. Progress is a bit slow, because this is the biggest and most complex game I've ever worked on, but things are slowly progressing and coming together. Thanks for the compliments and the message! :)

Simple, but effective...and no doubt annoying!

Yeah, they can prove to be pretty annoying at times :P

I hope you're making this in Unity. I don't think Flash can handle so much awesome stuff.

Old school Flash and Actionscript 2. Very outdated, I know, but I'm making it work. For the last 7 years, Flash has been forcing me to learn how to optimise everything in order to make things run smoothly, because of its limitations. It's actually been helping me to think more creatively in my opinion, but I'm biased, because I love Flash... but I am really pushing the limits of Flash with this game and to be honest I'm not entirely sure if Flash will be able to handle the full game once all of the content is in, but I will find a way :P

Finally some news, yay! :O The world of EnterTheFleshAgain is going to be a lot more feature-rich than I thought, this is pretty cool.

Oh thanks! I'm trying to create a living, breathing world where everything interacts with everything else and it's all slowly coming together. I'm looking forward to when the game is at a point where I can start sharing gameplay videos and reveal a bit more about what this game is actually about, but I'm not quite there yet. I'm glad you like what you see so far! Thanks for the comments :)
