EnterTheFleshAgain: Aarya #4

Posted by SeethingSwarm - January 28th, 2017

After each lifetime, Aarya will encounter The Lord Of Death, otherwise known as both the Good Genius and the Evil Genius. This hallucination of Aarya’s will consult the Mirror of Karma and count the previous life’s good deeds with white pebbles, and evil deeds with black pebbles. The consequences will depend greatly on Aarya’s wisdom. She might be reborn into a higher plane of existence, or a lower plane as a Hungry Ghost, or even into the realm of Hell.

cool.

I cannot wait to try the game, this will be an experience.

I'm glad you're excited! I'm trying my best to do the subject matter justice and to make it a fun, different experience. Hopefully I'll succeed with all my efforts and the wait will be worth it for you guys. The game is finally starting to come together and I'm pretty happy with it so far. Also very excited to unleash it onto the world one day, but it's still a while before that.

You have been showcasing creatures and features of this game for a really long time now!
This is definitely going to be worth the wait.

Yeah this is taking forever! I've been working on this game for over 4 years now, on and off, and there is still much to do. Thanks for the patience :)

you have the gift of hyping me, dude.

Haha thanks I'm trying! I'm just glad this game is getting some attention from people already and that you guys find it interesting so far.

The more you talk about this game the cooler it sounds.

That's great thanks! I'm glad the game sounds cool so far. It feels like it's all coming together, and although there is still much to do, I can finally see a faint light at the end of the tunnel :)

Is going into hell basically loosing the game? And by being born into a 'higher plane of existence, does that mean we will re enter as more powerful creatures (such as the sabertooth things) or more moral/honorable/Rightous creatures, or is what your reborn as Completely random chance?

Going to Hell is bad, but it doesn't necessarily mean you are losing the game. If your previous life was filled with killing others, your next life might end up being in Hell where you'll have to find your way out.

Being born into a higher plane of existence means more moral/honorable/righteous creatures, like Devic Spirits, although according to Buddhism and according to this game, being born into the physical realm as a humanoid creature (like the Tuyao), is the most desirable, because your life is a balance of pleasure and pain and you have the ability to understand cyclic existence better through introspection, meditation etc.

Being born as a more powerful predator, like a Mysocat or Raksasha Dragon, isn't necessarily a good thing. You'll be physically stronger, but you won't have quite as much opportunities to gain wisdom throughout that particular life.

You'll be able to unlock new playable creatures with Wisdom points collected in previous lives. Once they're unlocked, you can choose them anytime, unless you are forced to go to Hell by The Lord Of Death for example. There is also a place in the Bardo (the place in between death and rebirth) where you can enter into a portal that will send you back into the physical realm as a completely random creature. There are a few different ways to get back into the physical realm and mostly you'll have the power to choose which creature you want to become next, from all unlocked creatures.

Sorry if I'm explaining things badly. I just woke up, and I usually find it a bit difficult to explain this game to people. Hopefully I answered some of your questions well enough.
