Earth Taken 2: NEW FEATURES #4

Posted by SeethingSwarm - January 22nd, 2014

After aliens attacked earth, the military fought back and did their best to help protect humanity. Throughout the first Earth Taken game, they seem to have switched sides, playing the role of a wolf in sheep's clothing. Some claim to have seen them deliver innocent civilians right into the hands of the aliens, others say to have seen the military fight side by side with aliens against other survivors… but why would they do this? What really lies beneath the helmet and the body armor?

Can't wait!

Awesome! I'm trying my best to get it done in time for a February release :)

Isn't military supposed to have camouflaged uniforms or that stuff?

Not necessarily.

This should be especially interesting.

I'm quite excited about the second part! Hopefully I'll manage to make it fun and interesting enough for you guys as well :)

I'll try to beat the first one.

Good luck!

I hope that this dudes will be smarter than aliens in first part ET.

They will act similarly to aliens, except for the fact that they pack quite a punch and carry different weapons. I do not want the enemies to be extremely difficult, because this game is not meant for hard-core players alone, and considering all the feedback I've gotten from the original, it seems that I've managed to balance the difficulty quite well. I know that there are a lot of people out there who find the enemies Hopefully this is not too disappointing :/

Like code

Not the bro code?

When you Kill these military guys, are you able to pick up their weapons? Or maybe obtain some ammo from them? It would make sense there.

When the soldiers die they explode and all their equipment gets destroyed in the process, so no, you won't be able to pick up their weapons or get ammo. The reason for this is because of gameplay reasons. There are already a lot of supply packs littered throughout the game and will provide you with ample ammunition. It would also break the shop system to be able to pick up a soldier's flame thrower early on in a level. That would make you a bit too overpowered.
