These black pods are called Fire Orb Spitters. They release floating spheres that eventually explode and greatly damage other creatures and plants. These Fire Orbs are collected by creatures such as Tuyaos, Yuvustus and Hushin. They use the orbs to craft fires and flaming weapons. Fire Orbs can also be used as ranged weapons by throwing them at prey or enemies from a distance. The Fire Orb Spitter is another one of the many different plants you'll find in my upcoming game "Enter The Flesh Again".
