Hello everyone! Here's my second lil asset pack I made called DOGPACK. It's a pixelart dog character asset pack for 2D sidescrollers and platformers.


If any of you are fellow game developers and want to make a pixel-art game with a dog in it, the asset pack is now available on itch for $3.00 USD. Hi there Newgrounds! I'm not sure if anyone here remembers me, but I feel like I need to write this. I've had a rough few years and I haven't been active on NG for years either. I sort of just left my Newgrounds account high and dry and never updated anyone on what is happening with me and my projects. For that I am very sorry and I apologize. So here is just an update of what's been happening with me and what I'm up to now.


Unfortunately I had to cancel "Enter The Flesh Again" for many reasons. I made a post about it on the game's Facebook page back in Sept of 2019, but I just totally neglected Newgrounds. I think I'll just post that exact thing here right now:


"Hey there everyone,

Feels like it’s been forever since I’ve been active on social media. For the past few years I’ve been under a rock of depression. Several burnouts, financial and relationship problems and just plain stupid life choices resulted in me being completely exhausted. I want to apologise for just disappearing and being so unresponsive. I’m sorry.


Enter The Flesh Again, a game I’ve been working on for an eternity, is being put on hold, possibly indefinitely. It’s one of those things that ended up almost destroying me, and it’s my own fault. The game is made in Flash. Since it’s a pretty big game, Flash is struggling immensely to handle all the content, and it takes forever to write even a single line of code. On top of that, Flash is completely dead and the game would not be accepted on almost any platform, so it will need to be ported somehow. There are workarounds and solutions, but in this case, making the game from scratch would actually be easier. So yeah, I screwed up with this one.


Right now I’m in the process of updating my skillset and really planning on what I need to do if I want to keep making games as an indie designer, and survive. I’ll try to be a bit more active and responsive, but I probably won’t post much in the near future either. I’m focusing on fixing and improving myself right now. Maybe, hopefully one day there will be some new game stuff from me. Thanks for reading this and again, I apologise for all my crap."


For the past couple of years I've been updating my coding skills, learned new game development software and changed my art style to pixel art, and right now I'm working on a new game project which I'm not quite ready to share yet. I don't want the same thing to happen again where I can't deliver on my promises, so I'm keeping things secret for now until I'm sure I can deliver.

Aarya is fighting her innder demons in the Bardo; the state of existence between death and rebirth. In this instance she is using “Flaming Spirit”, a combo attack move where Aarya shoots forward and damages any demons in her path. This is one of the many upgrades that will be available in the game, and can be “purchased” by spending wisdom points acquired in the physical realm. These upgrades are the manifestation of her enlightened essence and her level of spiritual awakening. It represents her ability to realize that all the demons she encounters in the Bardo are merely hallucinations of her own mind and that she is essentially in conflict with herself.

Wisdom points are earned through many ways while you play through the lifetimes of many different creatures in the physical world; helping others in need, discovering sacred texts or other messages of insight, practicing meditation, raising your children, surviving until old age, acting with compassion, awareness, mindfulness etc.

The bear in this picture is one of Aarya’s ‘spirit animals’. These temporary companions can be found throughout the Bardo, guiding Aarya on her journey and helping her defeat her demons.

Aarya is fighting a few Demon Hounds in the Bardo; the state of existence between death and rebirth. In this instance she is using “Inner Fire”, a blue fireball of energy that she summons from within to fight her demons. This is one of the many upgrades available in the game that can be “purchased” by spending wisdom points acquired in the physical realm. These are a few of the disfigured, mangled and tortured manifestations in the Bardo; the state of existence between death and rebirth. Like all other evil spirits in the Bardo, their only desire is to inflict pain and fear. In order to escape the endless cycle of death and rebirth, Aarya will have to realise that these demons are the hallucinations of her own mind, and she will have to defeat them with powers gained from her acquired wisdom.
